‘Deadline’ delights in the All-Ireland

Prosperous Dramatic Society took to the stage in Athlone last Friday, the opening act of the 60th All Ireland Drama Festival. Following a successful campaign throughout the country, Robert Massey’s play, directed by Lurlene Duggan, wowed a capacity crowd with a mix of comedy and drama. Results of the festival are expected this coming weekend. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the RTE Documentary in the coming months, focussed on groups participating in the Festival.

Pitch & Putt Club Captains Drive

Our Captain’s Drive in is to take place on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May at 7pm. Vice Captain Paddy Nolan will do the needful in the absence of Tom Ennis who is unwell. We wish Tom a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him out on the course again in the near future.

A Musical Evening with Liam Lawton

Liam will be joined by local choirs and friends Clane Parish Church in 17th May at 7.30pm. Tickets Adults €10, Children €5 & Family Ticket €20. In aid of Clane & Rathcoffey Parish Development Fund.

The club would like to thank everybody who donated a bag or two for our clothes appeal. Club AGM will take place on 21st May in the Parish Centre. Congratulations to everyone who has survived the latest round of the “Last Man Standing” competition and good luck with your choices this week. Congratulations to the U12 team for winning their League and best of luck to the U12’s and U13’s in their finals of the Shield. Notice of Annual General Meeting: Notice is given that Prosperous United AFC will be held on Monday 21st May 2012 commencing at 8-30 in the Parish Centre Prosperous. Copy of club rules and constitution available by request. Nominations for positions of the clubs executive committee must be submitted in writing to the honorary secretary fourteen days prior to AGM and must be proposed and seconded accordingly by fellow club members or executive committee. Members of the outgoing executive committee shall be present at the AGM and shall have full voting powers. The business of the AGM shall be as follows: Receive reports from committee of the workings of the club during season. To elect an executive committee for the coming season. ‘On your Bike’ for Raheens GAA

A Cycle Rally will take place on the 9th June to Kilkenny in aid of the underage football setup. We would like to thank everyone who has signed up for the cycle to date. So far we have 120 people heading to Kilkenny on the day. We would ask everybody in the community to help the cyclists with their fundraising cards.
