Hollywood’s lotto jackpot now stands at €7,800. The next draw is on June 21. Get your tickets at the Hollywood Centre, Daly’s shop, as well as local sellers.

Diary dates

Cemetery Sunday is on in Hollywood on Sunday June 24. The Hollywood Parish Sports Day is on Sunday July 8. Hollywood Fair takes place from August 17 to 19 inclusive.

Whist

The following are the results of the whist held in Poulaphouca House Hotel on June 14 with proceeds going to the up-keep of the Hollywood Cemetery: Top Score: Kay Chase. Other Winners: Charlie Shortt, Maisie Mahon, Peggy Blackburne, Mick Molloy, Rita Balfe, Carmel Tutty, Tommy Mc Kivern, Monica Davis, Lar Kelly, June Snell, Neville Gyves, Liam Heffernan, Mersey Dunne, Jack Tyrrell, Joe Miley and Rose Heffernan. The Hollywood Whist Committee would like to thank everyone for their support.

Acorn

Acorn Playschool is now enrolling for September 2012. Free places available on the ECCE scheme. Drop in to the Hollywood Centre on Monday to Friday 9.15am - 12.15pm or call Bernadine on 087 2406316.

Hollywood ICA

Guild meeting takes places in the Hollywood Centre the first Thursday of every month at 8pm.

Work morning takes place every Wednesday morning from 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Hollywood Fair

There will be a General Meeting in the Hollywood Centre on Saturday June 23 at 7pm.

Scarecrow

The Scarecrow Competition is on Saturday June 30 starting at 3pm in Corrigan’s Craft, Hollywood, followed by a BBQ. Entry €5 per scarecrow.

Tidy up

There is a tidy up/work night of the village every Wednesday at 7pm. All help greatly appreciated.
