Best dressed lady
Congratulations to Louise Keatley of Ballytore on winning the €1000 prize on a wet and windy Day Two for best dressed lady at Punchestown. The bad weather didn’t put a damper on the fashion on Day Two - The ladies still turned out in force to compete in the Best Dressed Lady competition.
New mass timetable

Active Retirement AGM
The April meeting of the South Kildare Active Retirement Group has been deferred to thursday next May 3 due to the annual Punchestown Festival. This meeting is in Molly O’Looney’s in Narraghmore commencing at 8pm. The Guest Speaker is Gerard Downey from Insurance & Financial Services Limited, and he will be speaking on all aspects of Insurances. New members welcome.
There will be a Teenage disco held in St. Laurence’s Complex on Friday 4th May between 8pm and 11pm. This event is for first and second year students only. The annual Charity Feis will be held in St Laurence’s complex on Sunday the 27th May. This year’s charities are The Jonathan Mulhall trust fund and the Michael Garry House for the homeless in Newbridge. The cheques will be presented at the end of the Feis.
Beginners learning their steps will get an opportunity to dance as always at the Charity Feis. Best of luck to all of the Dancers.

Charity vintage run
There will be a fundraising Charity Vintage Run in aid of Jonathan Mulhall Trust with 100 vehicles travelling 100Km on Saturday next May 5 from Narraghmore to Enniscorthy. On Sunday May 6 the return journey back to Narraghmore will take place. Camping facilities available in Enniscorthy. All welcome. St. Laurence’s news
Senior C team won their fourth league game against Castledermot. The senior team lost their fourth league game against Allenwood. Underage training takes place in Oldgrange on a Wednesday night between 7pm-8pm and on Saturday Mornings between 11am-12pm.
The Lotto Jackpot of €3,200 was won by Liam Donovan. Congratulations Liam. This week’s lotto numbers were 13, 23 and 33. Next week’s jackpot will be €800.

Gym Membership for 2012 is student/over 55’s/ unemployed €100, single €150 and €250. Direct debit options are available. There are circuit classes held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9.30am for advances and 10.15am for beginners. They are also held on Wednesday evenings at 7.10pm to 7.55pm. Classes are 45 minutes and are €4 per person and free to gym members. The gym opening hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9-12am and 5.30-10.30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 5.30-10.30pm and Saturday and Sunday 6-9pm

Southboard Go-Games are into their third week now and great displays from St Laurence’s teams in the first two rounds. Last Tuesday (24th) U/10’s Red team were at home v Athy. Alex Mackey, Caolan O’ Brien played well for Larries while Aodhan Cullen had a great game in goals.
The amber team were away to Suncroft, another great game reported with Shane Jackman, Jordan Flood and Adam Murphy McKenna best for the Larries.
Thursday last saw some terrible weather conditions and the U/12’s Amber team’s match fell foul to the weather, however the Red team managed to host Eadestown on a very wet evening. Both teams served up a great game of intelligent football and best for the Larries were Tom Sheedy, Adam Mackey and Nick Jackman. The U/12’s A’s were away to Athy, best for Larries were Alex Dalton and Thomas O’ Brien.
The U/8’s were away to Moorefield last Saturday full details to follow next week. Best of luck to all the underage teams in the games this week.
At Laurence’s Summer Camp will run this year from July 9th to 13th inclusive . More details to follow very soon.

St. Laurence’s Seniors had a free week last week in the Kildare Division 1 Camogie League and with four rounds played, they still remain unbeaten after two draws against Celbridge and Cappagh in the first two rounds followed by two wins on their latest outings. An easy win over Maynooth was followed by a win over Leixlip the highlight of which was an Aisling Treacy hat trick of goals. With two more matches to come against Johnstown Bridge and Clane we are still in contention to qualify for the final stages.
Congratulations to the Larries players, Niamh Breen, Carol Nolan, Ciara Tallon and Louise Keatly who were all part of the Kildare Junior team that won the Division 3 National League title when beating Armagh by a point in a nail biting Final in Ashbourne. Well done to all and best of luck for the Leinster and All Ireland campaigns.
